Press Release: Kings Norton and Northfield Heritage Trail
We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be hosting an incredible Heritage project in the Northfield and Kings Norton areas in June and July 2022.
Linked to the Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund, we will be exploring the heritage trails in the Northfield and Kings Norton area and finding out more about the the history of St Nicolas Church and it’s adjacent building, St Nicolas Place. With lots of fun activities including guided walking and cycling routes along the River Rea, group walks, exercise, smoothie making, wellbeing and plenty of opportunities for socialising, this project is a brilliant way to get to know the history of Northfield and Kings Norton, have fun while exercising and make new friends!
Our launch event takes place on Thursday 9th June 2022 from 10.00am - 12.00pm. Expect a fun-filled event for everyone, with music, themed foods from around the globe, face painters and lots of activities and games!
We will also have Heritage trail activities every Thursday from 16th June, 10.00am - 11.00am, a Heritage trail and celebration event on Saturday 2nd July, 11.00am - 3.00pm and a Heritage trail on Sunday 3rd July, 11.00am - 3.00pm
