MissAdventure Cycling Project 2022

Launched in April 2022, Impact 4Life Wellbeing has been running our Missadventure Girls Cycling project.

With lots of sessions all over Birmingham, the MissAdventure project wanted to aims to help girls aged 11-16 to:

  • Learn and develop skills to become a competent and confident cyclist

  • Assist in changing the narrative that cycling is just for boys/men!

  • Improve their fitness levels and overall health and wellbeing

  • Have access to opportunities to participate in regular cycle outings

  • Participate in fun excursions and day trips

  • Have an opportunity to make their own smoothie on one of our amazing smoothie bikes!

Over the last four months we have had a fantastic time working with the girls at various locations all over Birmingham, developing their confidence in cycling and bicycle maintenance, with day trips out to Cannon Hill Park, Sandwell Valley Park, Perry Park and Handsworth Park and extra activities including team building and even coding!

It is important to us that we support the physical and mental wellbeing of the young people in our community, and we were blessed to work with fantastic young people in every single session! We would like to offer our thanks to everyone who participated, including parents and our volunteers for their commitment, motivation, enthusiasm and support!
