Health & Wellness Family Fun Day in Collaboration with the Community Grants Programme

Impact 4Life Wellbeing recently hosted a Health & Wellness Family Fun Day in collaboration with NHS Blood and Transplant and Community Grants Programme.

The Community Grants Programme, previously known as the Community Investment Scheme, is managed by NHS Blood and Transplant and helps to fund community, faith, or belief organisations to deliver projects that encourage more Black and Asian people to become donors.

After months of planning and hard work, the event at Edbaston Community Centre had a focus on health and wellness. Free of charge and open to everyone, it offered a fantastic opportunity for the community to get involved in lots of fun health and wellbeing activities including; Boxercise, Zumba, smoothie making, Tai Chi, Pilates, health advice and much more! It was an incredible turnout, with lots of people of all ages joining in and having lots of fun!

Our Health and Wellness Family Fun Day is just one of many activities and events scheduled over the next twelve months to raise awareness of the importance of more black blood and organ donors coming forward.

At Impact 4Life we are delighted to be working with the Community Grants Programme and NHS Blood and Transplant to bring more awareness about these important areas to the BAME community in Birmingham and beyond.
